Joanna Schmidt

I am thrilled and humbled to be continuing my leadership at Battle Creek Elementary. It is a daily gift to serve you and your children as they navigate their academic journeys. Safety and Learning are my main priorities, and we work diligently to address both every day. I take my role of supporting our students and faculty very seriously, and communicating with families is an important piece of this work. I am blessed to be able to be a partner in your child's education. Here's looking forward to an amazing year at BCES!

I am very excited to serve in the role of Assistant Principal. I love our school families and am looking forward to a bigger role in our kids’ learning and in our family engagement.
